txoko is an artist with a variety of interests. She mainly is a singer and songwriter putting a lot of emotions in poetic lyrics. She is best in singing about the extreme aspects of human nature and life. Her lyrics are always grounded on an raw source and basically always include a significance not even her close friends can understand. Though it often is as if she sings exactly about what a lot of listeners are feeling cause whatever she is doing it is pure and honest. A never ending source of the creativity are her doubts.
As a producer she loves to play with sound. She uses sounds of birds singing on her balcony or trains starting and stopping to bring her from East to West Berlin. But whether the samples she weaves into a composition originate from her environment or are computer made sound snippets she puts it into pop hymns with an experimental touch and ugly beats. She often brakes up the structures of how a pop song should sound like but still sticks to a minimum of it to sing along or to memorize her warm but pure voice which shows so many facettes of strength and weakness – or love and hate.
